Job Description:
Structural Welders needed for in-shop fabrication project. This is a high production position. Your primary responsibility will be flux core welding using .045 wire to splice wide flange beams together with full penetration welds that must pass ultrasonic inspection. Other duties may include structural layouts of steel columns and beams, punching, shearing and using a torch to fabricate structural components, along with driving a forklift or operating an overhead crane. There will be a test on your first day that consists of a flat weld test on carbon using fluxcore. You must have recent experience with fluxcore and be able to work from prints or drawings. You must understand what a run off tab is and understand how to use them. You must bring your own basic tools of the trade, along with hood and proper welding attire. You may be required to pass a pre-employment drug and background screening upon arrival.
